High Access Light Bulb Changers

High-access bulb changing made safer and easier. Unger Professional™ light bulb changers and telescopic poles make it easier to change hard to reach light bulbs without a ladder. We make changers for most types of bulbs; this includes recessed, flat and track lighting, compact fluorescent lamps (CFL), and flood lights.

High-Access Bulb Changing

Eliminate the need for dangerous ladders by using a light bulb changer with an extendable pole. Wherever there is a need for extended reach, choose an Unger Professional Telescopic Pole. Aluminum construction ensures that our poles are lightweight to ease strain during light bulb changing. Unger Professional has telescopic poles that range from 4ft to 20ft to reach the highest bulbs both inside and outside.

As part of Unger’s patented Connect & Clean System™, in addition to our light bulb changers, many Unger® cleaning tools can be attached to our telescopic poles to access hard-to-reach areas without a ladder. When you attach an Unger Professional squeegee, scrubber, duster, or brush to one of our telescopic poles, you can clean faster than cleaning with a handheld tool and ladder.

How to Change a Light Bulb

When changing a light bulb, it is recommended to wear gloves and eye protection as a precaution. This will prevent injury if the bulb accidentally breaks in the process of changing it. Always turn off the electrical breaker and allow lamps to cool before attempting to change a bulb. Before using a light bulb changing device, use a dry cloth to remove dust from the bulb and your device. Then, follow the instructions of your device to correctly remove and replace the bulb. Before taking off gloves and safety glasses, check that the bulb turns on when power is restored.

Safely Remove Broken Bulbs

Remove broken bulbs safely and easier with the Unger Professional Broken Bulb Changer. It’s fully insulated to protect against electrical shock. As an extra safety feature, our broken bulb changer includes a glass catcher to protect against falling glass.
