Works but doesn’t fit well into combo squeegee/scrubber

The telescopic pole itself is fine but the insert doesn’t go all the way into and click in the Unger combi-squeegee/scrubber accessory. I pushed it in as far as it would go and it works for awhile but since it’s not locked in it eventually keeps coming out.
